Heating

  • We recommend the use of a thermostatically protected heat mat. Place this underneath the tub base of your Whelpmate whelping box. If on tiles, concrete, other cold floor, place the large sheet of polystyrene on the floor, heat mat on top of that and then place your whelping box on top of the heat mat.

Storage

  • All whelping equipment, doors, heat mats, etc should be able to be stored within your whelpmate box - ensure walls are not being obstructed when closing inwards
  • Can be stored horizontally or vertically
  • If stored vertically we recommend you store inside the box it arrived in to prevent walls from falling open.
  • Make sure to store your Whelpmate dry and clean
